I guess I’ll just have to suspend my disbelief that a Slayer would punch like that.
(One of my friends, who boxes, watched BtVS with me, and ruined the fight scenes forever. Except not really, because when I faux-fight with my brother, I fight like Buffy and am convinced that I’m a badass. And that I’m going to win. It’s the little things, yanno?)

Sarah Michelle Gellar had a brown belt in taekwondo at the time Buffy was airing. (She has a black belt now.) Apparently she did stuff like this because she was keenly aware that if she had super-strength, she would not be wanting to haul off full-strength on a punching bag.
