Another thing about Cross Wired: In a way it may be the fic I’m proudest of, in the sense that it’s the one I’m most in tune with—at least going by the comments I’ve received on it, which have brought up every single point I ever thought or tried to achieve with that story. Even down to the fact that I have never been completely satisfied with my attempt at John’s connecting narration. A couple of people called me on that, which made me really pleased because I know that I never did figure out how to dig down to the heart of him.
