Ugh yeah he’s not the only one who wants things to go back to normal. He should solve mysteries with Victor Trevor for a couple of episodes while John is having his lame storyline.
Which “lame storyline”? The one where we find out how Sherlock’s absense has affected everyone he cares about? Because that’s something I feel has been glossed over in all other adaptations, and I am really, really excited to see it! Or the fact that gets married? Which… is canon. And was very likely to happen anyway. And will be the slashiest thing since sliced (slashed) bread.
I mean. All of this is ACD!Canon. What’s the problem? :/
The problem is that the stories where John is away from Baker Street lacked much of the dynamic that made them work as a pair and it was really awkward and not as entertaining.I always felt that it was a part of the stories that you had to slog through.
I’m with Hazeltea. I’m REALLY dubious about the whole marriage thing.
Also I’m actually kind of pissed off at the idea of John’s marriage being more slash fodder. Because that just relegates Mary to being yet another example of a woman tossed in there to be used as a prop for relationship between the male characters who’re actually important.
Also I’m cranky today, so I am going to get off Tumblr now.
