Well, it depends on the water, doesn’t it. Mine tastes a bit metallic with a sort of tangy sweetness that catches on the back corners of my tongue. And of course there’s that clear smoothness that’s characteristic of water.
Which is to say, maybe you just need to pay more attention. That can admittedly be hard, though, when the sheer experience is so comprehensively pleasant.
