Although actually I haven’t come across the ‘Byronic’ thing that much. And it’s the one I wouldn’t consider a ‘fandom’ thing. It’s just an accurate description. Because ‘Byronic’ has a definition, and Sherlock absolutely fits it. (And intentionally so, as the costume department apparently had instructions.)
