I don’t understand how this is such a problem for so many people. What’s WRONG with a POC protagonist? The color of their skin doesn’t stop them from having cool, adventurous stories. And if you’re saying you can’t get on board with a protagonist because of their race or gender or sexuality, then you’re saying you don’t WANT to know about their life. You’re saying you don’t WANT to identify or sympathize with them. And what I don’t understand is just…WHY NOT?
