Sometimes they’d scream at each other for hours, until their throats were raw and burning. So much anger at being trapped, at being treated like animals for Dr. Holmes’ ‘experiments’, and there was no one to take it out on except each other. Still, they were the only company each had, and the only comfort to be found in the hellish hospital, which is how they came to be inseparable.
