graceebooks:

i’ve kind of been searching through some tjlc-critical meta to try and understand why so many people have been objecting to it so stridently…

“tjlc is absolutely not the idea that sherlock is going to end in some kind of crazy, unbelievable, out-of-the-clear-blue-sky twist. it’s literally the exact opposite: the idea that no matter what the showrunners/writers/actors/etc. say publicly (here and only here is where “conspiracy” comes in), the show really is going to end exactly the way it has seemed like it was going to end all along.”

I still don’t think it’s going to happen—because I have no faith that Moffat wants this main character he personally identifies with so much to end up in a queer relationship that he personally wouldn’t be interested in—but I needed to share because that IS the best explanation for TJLC I’ve seen. 😀
