Hey! About Mischief, I have the free version and I seem to be unable to save the picture as a .png or anything. Is it because it is free?

Hiya! No, the free version should also be able to generate PNG and JPG formats.
However, you can’t just ‘Save as’ to get those formats. You have to use the selection tool to choose the portion of the canvas you want to turn into a PNG or JPG, and then choose ‘Export selection’ from the File menu. Or, if you want to export the whole shebang, choose ‘Export visible canvas.’
(If you have the paid version, you can do the same thing to create a PSD file, and it will also preserve all the layers.)
