My favorite part of this isn’t the cellulite. It’s the hijab.
I mean, this is Wonder Woman. The original queen of smashing the patriarchy. And what does she do? She goes out and saves the world while respecting the culture of the region she’s protecting. She doesn’t pull a Western feminist and decry the hijab as a symbol of female oppression. Instead she wears one because she understands that while clothing can be used as a tool of oppression, it isn’t always. Many hijabi choose modest dress because of their faith. And so Wonder Woman respects their choices and their culture by donning a hijab of her own.
