I was thinking earlier about how I’d like to write an au where Hannibal is literally the devil to whom Will sells his soul but then I was like… no. No an au where Will is literally the devil to whom Hannibal sells his soul as a child after he loses his parents and Mischa, and to whom Hannibal owes all his power and success later on in life.
Will gives him some ridiculous amount of time, say 40 years, before he comes to collect, but when he finally does, he doesn’t find a man full of fear and begging for his life. He finds a man that has become a devil much like himself. Hannibal doesn’t blink when the hellhounds arrive and the idea of visiting hell sounds quite like an adventure to him (he would probs be quoting Dante the entire time lbr).
And… idk just devil!Will finally meeting his match when he goes to collect Hannibal’s soul and instead of sending him to eternal damnation he invites him to rule hell at his side.
