If Gabriel tried to summon Jack and Jack didn’t come, 1: he’d pretend he’d never tried it because that means he didn’t do it right (shut up you saw nothing) 2: he’d go find Jack (shut up, you saw nothing!).

If it turned out to be a trap? There’ll be fewer hunters in the world in a few minutes.  If he’s feeling generous, he might get Jack loose before he finishes the killing.  Neither of them have ever appreciated being used as bait; he knows Jack has some violent urges of his own he’d like to express on his would-be captors.

If he’s not feeling generous, then he’ll leave Jack there and make him watch as he’s rescued.  Then he’ll lord it over him later.

(Bonus round neither of them will admit to: there’ll probably be blow jobs either way, but whether Gabriel let Jack participate in the fight dictates whether they’re more likely to be lustful and feisty, or angry revenge-bjs.)
