A couple of days ago, I was talking with a Black co-worker. She was wearing this awesome bright turquoise outfit. I told her how great it looked on her. She was pleased but startled by this. She said she’d been told to avoid bright colors with her skin tone.
So I just want to say, dark-skinned ladies, if anybody ever tells you this, forget them. They know nothing. You’re gorgeous and those bright colors look fucking AMAZING on you.
