Really, the thing is that almost any character could be capable of almost anything.
It’s the reasoning for why they did it you have to put the work in on.
If this is something the character wouldn’t normally do, then why are they doing it now?
OOC is the acronym for when you as the reader find the reasoning as given to be implausible.
