“werifesteria”

(noun) An old English and dead word, werifesteria means to wander longingly through the forest in search of mystery. (via wordsnquotes)

By the way, I finally got around to looking into this, because I didn’t think it sounded like an Old English word for anything involving forests, wandering or mystery.

And it is not.  It dates from about 2014, on Twitter.  So it’s a very new English word for wandering longingly through the forest in search of mystery.  I’m sold on it anyway.  I needed a word for this very badly.
