This isn’t the epilogue comic I was talking about but it’s an idea for a scene from another comic I’m thinking about doing where Jack takes Gabe to Indiana when they get some leave time after SEP to experience actual midwestern Halloween.
Mostly I just noticed people almost unilaterally write Jack with abusive parents, so I submit my own headcanon that they loved him very much and raised him to be the kind of person we saw in Uprising, who listens to people and respects their opinions even if he outranks them.
