I can just imagine a situation where Overwatch and Talon is fighting and someone else high in Talon has ordered the agents to try and take out Doomfist. So while everybody is squaring off, Doomfist might be trying to take out one of the other offense heroes while Reinhardt is protecting mercy healing somebody wounded. Whereas all of a sudden, Rein notices that several of the goons have now their guns aimed at doomfist.

(2) So, while despising what is about to unfold, he lets the barrier drop and what doomfist sees is Reinhardt readying himself to try and strike at Doomfist, but instead Reinhardt takes one large firestrike that knocks down some of the betrayers, just enough to make the Talon leader realize that he’s being backstabbed and idk I just think that after that there could be an underlying respect from the both of them or smth.
