This is plausible and it would actually work.
John would turn insane. Dramatic events in somebody’s life can lead to things like serial killing. Even if experienced earlier on in life. Still a possibility. So John would turn mad and considering John is well learnt in both murder and medicine the murdering sense would be easy.
Mycroft would cover it up, I bet. Then he’ll tell Sherlock. When it’s too late. Sherlock would go and find… this and it would be too later.
I would read the fuck out of that. Don’t think I have the angsty cojones to write it though.
