To be really honest, I’m not happy with XKit either. The XKit guy is a freaking saint, yes. But I have serious issues with the fact that Tumblr as a profit-making company is riding on the back of one guy who is not being compensated for pretty much single-handedly making the site usable enough to be profitable.
