Hey, folks, did you know that as of June 1, the clauses of the Patriot Act that support mass surveillance have expired?

It was up for vote this weekend.  Congress didn’t renew.  And we all owe Rand Paul a debt of gratitude.

Now, this might not be permanent.  There’s a bill in the Senate called the USA Freedom Act which might re-institute some elements.  But there’s still debate going on about that one and how best to shape it for the good of everyone concerned.  Keep your eyes peeled.  Weigh in if you get the opportunity.
