Every four years, Homo sapiens gather to compete in tests of athleticism and skill at the Olympic games. But Homo sapiens are boring. Let’s begin a tradition of observing the prowess of another class altogether – aves.
Introducing: The Great Birdie Games! What are the “The Great Birdie Games”? Two weeks of birds doing bird stuff as best as they can (getting real poofy, blushing tons, beeping, etc). Those of us with feathered companions will submit videos and photos of their birds for each event and winners will be selected by a community vote. See a schedule/event guide below:
During the games, we’ll be setting up a fundraiser for The Alex Foundation. We’ll also be creating buttons, pins, t-shirts, and stickers with a logo for the games. There is also a song in the works!
