For someone who wasn’t around on tumblr or other social media during the First Season of MTMTE/RID, was the fact that Prowl was being controlled by Bombshell something that came out of the blue or were the clues strewn about and people at least had an inkling that something was very “wrong” with Prowl?

Yeah, I think most people had sussed out that he wasn’t himself, and I definitely remember some folks had reached the “controlled by Bombshell” conclusion ahead of time. I think the big clue was always that RiD was a book built around each issue having a character provide a narration, and everyone got to do it a couple of times, but Prowl’s narration stopped after his showdown with Bombshell in #4 and he never narrated the book again. Then there was the changing colour of the Dinobots’ eyes in #7-8 – which I didn’t buy into myself and looked a RIGHT tool for not believing in afterwards! – foreshadowing Bombshell’s involvement, as #4 had shown his victims’ eyes changing color too.
