Moffat deliberately lies, deflects, and snows the issue whenever he can.  It’s his way of keeping spoilers from leaking; that way, even if you hear the truth, you can’t be sure you can trust it.

Most of his co-conspirators have joined him in that approach at this point, so the vast majority of the time you can’t really trust anything they say or seem to say about the future of the show.

But yeah, that’s what I started noticing, when I began to think back about the things I’d read them saying.  They seldom come straight out and deny things that are true, or confirm things that aren’t.  They prefer misleading answers to outright lies.
