6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?
Oh god, I want to say it’s something like how I tried to capture the enchantment of the sea or that I did something at least nominally clever with mythical creatures, or maybe something touching about the romance?
But realistically? Probably the oviposition.
14: Is there anything you wanted readers to learn from reading this fic?
Ahaha, oh dear god, no. I honestly wrote this because oviposition was one of the Kinktober prompts and it was the only fic idea I could manage to make it work in.
I mean, okay. The reason it worked here is because I have this need to set up my kink writing in a way where my brain can somehow justify to itself that it makes sense (don’t ask me, I don’t understand it either). And it worked for me here because: aliens/monsters/magical beings. And THAT idea attracted me because I have this huge thing for alien/monster psychology and physiology (even though I barely actually got into it here, haHA).
Honestly this’d probably make a better original fic story than Overwatch, because I feel like Gabriel in particular is terribly out of character and holds almost no bearing on his canonical self. But whatever. Think of the sea monsters.
