The Transformers fandom is really fascinating to me – I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a deep and abiding love for a franchise paired with such an enthusiastic willingness to acknowledge that the greater part of that franchise’s output has no redeeming value whatsoever.
no one hates transformers as much as transformers fans
I don’t think I’ve found any other fandom where the reaction to a new BIG-SCREEN ADAPTATION is, “This is going to be such shit, I hate it already, the director needs to be stopped, who wants to come see it five times with me?”
Someone PLEASE stop the director.
