Catholics are a big thing in some parts of America (yoooo, hiiii) but I’m not sure if New York is one of them.
I can see Catholic for sure. I think at least some of Steve’s roots were Irish, IIRC.
New York is one of the more Catholic-heavy places in the US. Loads of Irish, Italian and HIspanic Americans, among others.
You can generally find at least a smattering of Catholics anywhere you go in the US, though. They are the single largest Christian denomination in the country.
