Thought I’d share a walk-through on how I draw my cartoon style drawings since a few people were asking. I know I promised a video speed painting but it’s easier this way even though I suck at explaining things (especially drawing lol).

For those who’re interested in how to do cel shading (that’s the hard-edged cartoony shading style), here’s a good tutorial.
Tutorials can be frustrating, because you’re always looking for clues on how to not only do the thing, but do it well. Like, okay, so this is cel shading, but how do I know where to put the shadows?!
Practice, unfortunately. It’s a lousy answer, but it’s the only one we’ve got.
Although you can hurry things along a bit by working off lots of real-life and photo references.
