Reminds me of Nada’s destroyed glass city from Sandman.

I like how they say this as if Lake Baikal is ever anything less than jaw-droppingly beautiful.  It’s one of Nature’s great fuck-off gestures.  ”I’m going to put one of the most magnificent landscapes in the world IN THE MIDDLE OF SIBERIA.  Ahahaha, come on, bitches, show me how much you want it.”
