Bats are SO SOFT oh my god. Their fur is the finest, softest thing I’ve ever touched. And they’re so tiny and delicate. You don’t really appreciate just how fragile they are till you hold one. You have to be so very gentle with them. They cling to things adorably with their crazy little wing-hands, and make tiny little peeping noises (of course, they’re probably shrieking their little batty heads off, but it’s mostly above our hearing range).
Pretty much, they are unfathomably cute and elegant little critters who are by and large incapable of harming you. Being afraid of them is kind of like being afraid of a swift-moving pear.
