The thing I don’t understand is, why the baby/pregnancy? To give Mary a motive for going after CAM, maybe, but isn’t putting John in a bonfire enough? And her pregnancy immediately makes her vulnerable, so they can ignore her background and make her a victim. But then why go through the trouble of making us feel conflicted about her with a half-baked redemption if we’re supposed to ultimately sympathize with her? Do you have any speculations about the purpose of the baby/pregnancy?

For John/Mary endgame, would it be truly that impossible? I know Johnlock shippers are pretty biased towards her, but if you think back to the first two seasons Sherlock also did his portion of lying, manipulating, and almost leaning towards abusive (like poisoning John). And John doesn’t really know Sherlock’s past either. So what if she doesn’t work secretly for Moriarty (like in many headcannons) and is really basically a female version of Sherlock, who loves and understands John?

Hello! I saw your amazing meta on John’s limp popping up on my dash. I just have one question. You said that John’s still limping in TEH, but I did not immediately spot it when I first saw the ep. In which scenes is John limping again exactly? I love the whole thing with the psychosomatic limp and was so saddened when it seemed resolved in ASIP. pardon me if its mentioned before, realize in HLV John kicks down wiggins and kicked chair in 221b after SH reappearance with his psychosomatic limp. I saw this Interview snippet with Martin and he was super rude to the Interviewer when he was asked about his relationship with Benedict: “Are you a 16 year old girl now? Pleeease be fucking!??” I get that he’s tired of the show being reduced to sexual tension and stuff, but I get the feeling he’s offended when people suggest Sherlock and John should be involved. To me, he seems pretty much against Johnlock (further than the subtext). Would Moffat and Gatiss take that into consideration?

What do you think about the possible appearance of Sherrinford Holmes, the third Holmes brother? I’m fine with Moftiss going off the rails, but the brother isn’t even official cannon. I guess I’m just worried about the show sliding too much into a soap opera. Love your fan fiction, btw! ♥
