Didn’t Mycroft S1 ” surveillance status. Grade Three Active” & S3 ” kept a weather eye” on John so why didn’t/ hasn’t he known or said anything of Mary? He did kidnap interview John for Sherlock. Since John then is Sherlock’s & Mary is John’s fiance, wouldn’t Mycroft at least do a background check or be suspicious/ curious for Sherlock’s safety? But then what does “surveillance status. Grade Three Active” mean anyway? Was Mary that unimportant/ irrelevant to him/ sherlock?
