John Watson
I’ve noticed this about the series and the actors: Martin looks his best when he’s lit with fairly diffuse, omni-directional light—daylight, firelight, soft bulbs, etc. On the other hand, Ben’s face becomes most dramatic when lit by a hard directional light, which brings out the sharp contours and shadows of his face.
(Also I wonder if people are mistaking ‘stocky’ as a synonym for ‘short,’ because stocky is a thing he really isn’t.)
(Also also, why doesn’t he wear this jacket more often? It looks fantastic on him!)
I would just like to point out that ever since I started following prettyarbitrary I’ve been seeing a lot more of John Watson/Martin Freeman on my dash and it makes me wanna jump him – which is new to me because I did not want to do that before. But damn, that neck in panel 3 and all of him in that jacket in panel 4 …
