I argued with myself a lot on this. That it’s not how you hold a violin, but whatever, it’s an idea inspired by Hannibal so I can take the artistic liberty. It was also inspired by archiaart and michithekiller’s collaborated fic & art Breathe, the line about Sherlock’s violinist’s fingers wrapped around John’s neck.
