Yeah, that’s my reading. I mean, we might see Sherlock try it on with some guys before he and John hook up, but I kind of don’t think so, and if he does, I can’t see him being into it. I don’t think Sherlock trusts other people enough to let them touch his dick, to be real. When Captain John Watson realizes he has the green light it’s gonna be glorious.
I don’t know if the showrunners are even aware of stuff as specific as demisexuality, but there’s definitely a John-sexual thing going on which is basically the same thing as far as Sherlock is concerned. We’re shown that he believes John is literally the only person in the world he could be romantically involved with when he says the bit about how he’s never made a vow before and he won’t make one again.
He may as well tattoo John’s name on his dick. Maybe he did when he was high. Wouldn’t that be romantic, like, for John later? Like most people would find it weird and off-putting but I think John could really use that degree of reassurance after all the shit he’s been through. That’s why they’re perfect for each other.
And now we know why Sherlock wanted to know what the “H” stood for.
