I just rewatched “The Empty Hearse,” and I can solve the mystery of the word that sounds like ‘blood.’
Sherlock is calling Mycroft ‘brother’ in Serbian.
I’m pretty sure he’s also pronouncing it poorly, but that could be because things are not pronounced exactly the same in Serbian as they are in Polish or Russian.
(No, I don’t speak Polish or Russian. Those are the languages I could find a recording of the word being spoken in.)
